The concept for the NEXT commercial real estate office is centered around inspiration from the landscape surrounding Denver, Colorado, incorporating both the prairie and the mountains. Being that the office is separated into two different spaces, the inspiration is split between two color schemes that come from the two contrasting land- scape types. The larger area housing offices and main conference areas incorporate cool colors, reflecting natural elements such as water, rocks, and the sky. The smaller space accommodating the greater patio and Workcafé integrate warm tones, including aspects such as fields, hides, and the sunset. Taking a unique twist on the design, a sleek look of high fashion has been incorporated, with most of the key furniture pieces being from the high-end Spanish brand Viccarbe, which Steelcase has collaborated with. A mostly open floor plan has been used, with the conference and private rooms being the only ones fully enclosed (predominantly using glass wall installations). The color green is incorporated in both of the office zones as well, tying the design together. In conclusion, the office draws from surrounding nature in an elegant manner, with lean, polished furniture and a comforting, yet modern color scheme and flow.
